Next Empty Fence Series – combined screenprint over giclee print

Screen prints of the remaining two tatters of Chris shirts (the rest I tied to the fence at Black Rock Nature Reserve to be washed by the River Severn back in 2012) over giclee prints from enlarged polaroids taken of the fence this year. The monochrome screen prints give greater definition and detail The last blog post showed printing directly from the tatters which give immediacy and texture.

The linearity of tide and time rubs against the cyclical nature of grief and loss. There are seven variations each in an edition of 10. Size of print 26x26cm on A3 archival quality paper.
